“Startup City” is the place where students and young people can develop their business ideas, presenting them to a prestigious jury. This competition aims to help all innovative young people with entrepreneurial spirit to realize and present their business ideas. Startup City adds value to the entrepreneurial ecosystem by helping startups grow and position themselves in the market.
Startup City is organized through close cooperation between the University Metropolitan Tirana, Metropolitan Incubator, Faculty of Economics of University of Tirana and Municipality of Tirana as well as thanks to the support of important local companies and institutions.

Our aim is to create a “fair” of business ideas in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation where concrete projects are displayed and promoted by individuals and SMEs.

- To help youth become more inclusive in entrepreneurial ecosystem.

- To encourage the entrepreneurial and innovative way of thinking.
Event activities
Start-Up City 5 will take place in three months and will culminate with the final presentation at a gala event on May 25, 2023. During the three months, there will be information sessions with young people interested in applying. The event will be mentored by professors and professionals in various fields, selecting the best ideas and enabling their further development in the market.
Two Bootcamps
Startup City 5 Gala Event
Startup City is finalized with a traditional gala event, where startups present their ideas to a prestigious jury. This event is organized to promote future entrepreneurs with the most innovative ideas, who after a cycle of training compete to be winners of 8 awards.
The ceremony will take place in Albania’s capital, Tirana, aiming to contribute to its return to a regional innovation center. The evaluation of the presentations is carried out by a professional jury, with well-known and successful names in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation.
Present there will be the main actors of the ecosystem, with representatives from public institutions, universities, representatives of partner companies or organizations, as well as startups and interested young people.
