“Startup City” is the place where students and young people can develop their business ideas, presenting them to a prestigious jury. This competition aims to help all innovative young people with entrepreneurial spirit to realize and present their business ideas. Startup City adds value to the entrepreneurial ecosystem by helping startups grow and position themselves in the market.
Startup City is organized through close cooperation between the University Metropolitan Tirana, Metropolitan Incubator, Faculty of Economics of University of Tirana and Municipality of Tirana as well as thanks to the support of important local companies and institutions.

Our aim is to create a “fair” of business ideas in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation where concrete projects are displayed and promoted by individuals and SMEs.
Objectives
- To help youth become more inclusive in entrepreneurial ecosystem.

- To encourage the entrepreneurial and innovative way of thinking.
Event activities
Application Phase
This process attracted over 50 start-up ideas from various fields, reflecting the great interest in the project. To assist applicants, informative sessions were organised that provided details on the application process and benefits.
Intensive Bootcamp, Training and Presentations
During a three-day program, participating teams received mentoring and specialized training to develop their ideas. The phase culminated in presentations in front of a jury that professionally selected the best ideas for qualification to the Gala Event and further training.
Startup City 6 Gala Event
In the final phase, the finalist teams presented their elaborated projects during a grand gala event. This event marked the end of the project, highlighting the efforts and potential of the participating startups.
Seven start-up ideas were awarded with various prizes, including monetary support and other development opportunities. The ceremony takes place in Tirana, with the aim of turning it into a regional innovation hub.
The evaluation is carried out by a professional jury of renowned experts in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation. The main stakeholders of the ecosystem, representatives of public institutions, universities, partner companies, as well as startups and interested young people, are present.
